Mission

who are we

Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. (TLOD) was chartered in the state of Texas on September 8, 1964 as a non-profit educational, humanitarian organization. TLOD’s membership includes Top Ladies who serve in more than 120 communities in the United States. ITLOD’s focus includes improving the status of women, service to senior citizens, community beautification, community partnerships, and service to youth through Its Top Teens of America youth facet.

Each TLOD chapter supports and oversees a Top Teens of America chapter. Every member of Top Teens of America has a TLOD mentor and takes part in seminars that equip them to address bullying, workshops that provide public speaking tips and practice, and computer and financial literacy, among other necessary life skills. The teens are also actively involved in community service: They host walk-a-thons to raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, UNCF, March of Dimes, and sickle cell disease prevention.

Annually, TLOD provides over 500,000 volunteer community service hours and funds scholarships at the local, area and national levels. Area II is dedicated to fulfilling TLOD's mission to serve youth and adults!
