Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. (TLOD) is a national professional and humanitarian organization with chapters throughout the United States composed of women committed to providing solutions for social issues and improving underserved communities. Area II encompasses 17 chapters along the East Coast, from New York to Virginia. Area II acts on new opportunities to serve youth and adults while focusing on sisterhood; finds innovative ways to execute programs and projects more efficiently and effectively; and motivates ladies and teens to be the best servant leaders in their communities.
Top Teens of America (TTA) is the primary thrust of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc.® and helps teens explore, grow and thrive through integrated activities in three pillars of engagement: Culture, Education, and Leadership.

Area II encompasses the states of Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania (East), New York, New Jersey, Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine and Rhode Island, as well as the nation's capital, Washington, D.C.
Area II was born in 1977 as a result of the efforts of Lady Marie T. Campbell, who served two four-year terms as Area II Director from 1977 to 1981 and from 1993 to 1997. Lady Campbell was the organizer and president of our first chapter in Area II, the Trenton Chapter located in Trenton, New Jersey. Presently we have 17 active chapters: Trenton, New Jersey; Queens Empire, New York; Baltimore, Maryland; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Gotham, New York; Hampton Roads, Virginia; Alexandria City, Virginia; Dale City-Prince William County, Virginia; Prince George’s County, Maryland; Washington, DC; Southern Maryland, Maryland; Patuxent River, Maryland; Central Virginia, Virginia; Stafford County, Virginia; Haymarket-Gainesville, Virginia; Montgomery County, Maryland; and Middlesex-Union County, New Jersey.
